基于5E教学模式的英语阅读教学对高中生思维品质影响的实证探讨

m’s taxonomy of educational objectives as thetheoretical basis and 5E teaching model as the guiding method,this study conductedan experiment with a total of 81 students in two parallel classes in the second year ofsenior high school in Guangzhou.And the aim is to explore the effect of applying 5Eteaching model to senior high school English reading teaching on students'thinkingquality.Then,from the results and data of thinking quality questionnaires,readingcomprehension tests and interview in this study,it is clear that 5E teaching model is aproven method of teaching English reading in senior high school.The major findingsof the study are summarized as below:

First and foremost,the application of 5E teaching model in English reading classcan effectively promote the senior high school students’thinking quality.According tothe results of the questionnaire,before the use of 5E teaching model,students’thinking quality in both classes was at a moderate to low level,but after a semester ofexperiment,thinking quality of the students in EC improved significantly compared toCC.The reason for this is that 5E teaching model places more emphasis on thedevelopment of learning strategies and study habits.In fact,lots of learning strategieshelp to improve students’logical and critical thinking ability,and students can alsoimprove their creative thinking skills through continuous self-evaluation and mutualevaluation.They also try to solve new problems in new ways,all of which help tocultivate and develop students’thinking quality.
