They rejected the pleasures of sex and denied that procreation was a by-product of sex. In their opinion, parenthood is the supreme vocation, motherhood is the determining factor in the population quality of the race, and males are their most efficient assistants. It can be argued that without the career sphere, the female would have remained enclosed in the family, performing repetitive and tedious domestic tasks, and would never have had such a clear perception of their potential.
