Chapter 5 Results and Analysis
5.1 Demographic Profile and Descriptive Statistics
5.1.1 Demographic Profile
The survey developed in the research comprised two portions; the first comprised general information with four questions. The second part included questions concerning the variables understudy. As per the first section of the questionnaire, the analysis of the answers is exhibited in Table 5.1 to Table 5.4. In Table 5.1, the participation of both genders is represented. As only the complete questionnaires were utilized, 350 responses were analyzed, out of which 52.6% male consumers were compared. Female representation was 47.4%. Thus, male consumers had slightly higher participation in the survey, indicating increased knowledge and involvement regarding green purchasing.
Chapter 6 Discussion and Conclusion
6.1 Discussion of Main Findings
6.1.1 Comprehensive Overview
The current study is based on the importance and necessity of sustainable development in this ever-growing and modernized world where due to climatic changes, human activities, global warming, and greenhouse gas emission (carbon dioxide gas) have resulted in the environmental destruction and depletion of natural resources that could be crucial for the development of various organizations worldwide. Due to these unfavorable conditions for humanity and the other forms of life on earth, various business practitioners, business researcher, academic researchers, and governments are focusing on and studying the sustainable development of products that could be beneficial for the environment and eventually results in a reduction of natural resource depletion by promoting green consumption behavior within the workplaces and the consumers as well.
According to recent research, Analytica (2019), Central Asian States are at a greater risk of extreme climatic changes due to their sweltering summer temperatures, water stress, and melting glaciers. Moreover, Turkmenistan, among all the Central Asian countries, ranks 15th in the world regarding water stress levels. Despite this, the country also faces various climatic changes and greenhouse gas emissions that the product producers and the consumers should control in the business market to prevent resource depletion. Therefore, the researcher in the current investigation has focused on the promotion of shoppers’ green behavior by improving the green practices within the business sector of Turkmenistan, which could eventually enhance the sustainable development of the organizations thus operating within the country, lessen the greenhouse gas emission, protect the natural resources, and above all, will encourage sustainable and profitable economic growth in Turkmenistan.
