This essay discusses the impact women’s images in the Qur’an have on contemporary Muslim women’s social and religious life. First, I will talk about the images and implications of two women in the Qur’an to explain their implications: the moral standard and obedience to Muslim husbands; second, the influence from responsibilities and images of women in the Qur’an on contemporary Muslims’ social and religious life to analyze the geographical livelihood of Muslim women. Muslim women living in European countries are trying to absorb the essence of European culture and also protect the essence of their culture, while Muslim women living in Middle Eastern nations have no such worries but they are still exposed to other cultures and gain certain awareness. Finally, a conclusion will be drawn.
