Cupid is known as the god of love in Roman mythology, he has a golden bow, a golden arrow, and a lead arrow (Dozier, 2015). If a man and a woman are shot by his gold arrow, there will fall in love, even they hate each other originally, they will be lovers eventually, and they will be happiness; on the contrary, if they are shot by his lead arrow, they will refuse to love. Many love stories happen because of him. In 2015, Cupid comes to Shanghai, China occasionally, because he has heard that China develops very fast recently (Wu, Gyourko and Deng, 2012), he wants to see the changes here personally. One day in May, he comes to the bund area in Shanghai, where he finds many modern buildings, as well as some classical-style buildings such as banks and churches which have a history of more than 100 years. Here, he can enjoy both human landscape with Chinese characteristics and the natural scenery of the Huangpu River. Tourists from different countries are taking pictures and walking here, all of these make Cupid surprised, because the development of Shanghai is really beyond his imagination. Suddenly, Cupid finds a melancholy young man, standing desolately on the shore and looking at the landscape across the river, out of his instincts, he thinks that the young man needs help. Then he goes to accosts him. Cupid is very good at talking and he is enthusiastic, and soon he learns the difficulties that the young man encounters. The young man is Chen, 25 years old, he loves a girl named Aqiao, but his lack of confidence makes him hesitant about whether he should own his affection to Aqiao. Cupid decides to help the young man. Then he tell the young man that he will help him, and hopes that if the two young persons fall in love together, Chen can guide him to visit in Shanghai. Chen is skeptical at first but he still believes finally. They leave their contact information then drifts apart. Cupid chooses a suitable place, smiling and shot a golden arrow toward where Aqiao is in.

In 2015, by pure chance Cupid comes to Shanghai, which is known as the Oriental Pearl, here he helps Chen and Aqiao to establish a relationship. After a month of falling in love with each other, Chen and Aqiao decide to get married. Chen is introduced to Aqiao’s parents, as Chen is a handsome man and he is hard-working, Aqiao’s mother is very satisfied with him at the first glance. However, when she learns that Chen temporarily can’s afford an apartment in Shanghai, she says that Chen must buy a house before getting married, even Cupid cannot convince the mother. Chen loves Aqiao very much, in order to save the marriage, Chen has to borrow money from his parents. As Chen is from a family in straitened circumstances, Chen's father has cancer, in order to save money for purchasing a house, his father have to forgo treatment. When Chen learns this, by chance, he feels very guilty and decides to end the relationship with Aqiao.References文献
