Business process management is the simplified and automated business process overall or partly processed by computer in production process, business process, administrative application process, financial examination and approval process, personnel treatment process, quality control and customer service process and so on, aiming at shortening process cycle and saving operation costs (Velcu, 2010). The final purpose of business process management is to improve customer satisfaction and company’s market competition, and finally enhance enterprise performance. The mission of process management is to improve control degree through delicacy management, enhance work efficiency by process optimization, make implicit knowledge dominant by virtue of system or rules, and achieve reasonable allocation of resource and managed copy.
Business process management plays very important role in enterprise’s development. With the purpose of further exploring the significance of business process management, this report will take Ford Motor Company’s BPM and BPR as an example.
