1. Introduction 介绍


业务流程管理是业务流程的简化和自动化的生产过程中,计算机的整体或部分处理的业务流程,管理的应用过程中,财务审批流程、人事处理工艺、质量控制和客户服务流程等,以缩短生产周期和节约运营成本(Velcu,2010)。业务流程管理的最终目的是提高客户满意度和公司市场竞争力,最终提升企业绩效。流程管理的使命是通过精细化管理提高控制度,通过流程优化提高工作效率,通过系统或规则使隐性知识占主导地位,实现资源和管理副本的合理分配。
业务流程管理在企业发展中起着非常重要的作用。为进一步探索业务流程管理的意义,本报告将以福特汽车公司的BPM和BPR为例。首先介绍福特汽车公司的背景信息。其次,关于福特汽车公司的组织架构和ERP实施情况。然后讨论其采购和库存管理。之后,与制造规划和执行有关。随后,将讨论其人力资源和资产管理。最后将提出一个简短的结论。
Business process management is the simplified and automated business process overall or partly processed by computer in production process, business process, administrative application process, financial examination and approval process, personnel treatment process, quality control and customer service process and so on, aiming at shortening process cycle and saving operation costs (Velcu, 2010). The final purpose of business process management is to improve customer satisfaction and company’s market competition, and finally enhance enterprise performance. The mission of process management is to improve control degree through delicacy management, enhance work efficiency by process optimization, make implicit knowledge dominant by virtue of system or rules, and achieve reasonable allocation of resource and managed copy. 
Business process management plays very important role in enterprise’s development. With the purpose of further exploring the significance of business process management, this report will take Ford Motor Company’s BPM and BPR as an example. Firstly, it will introduce the background information of Ford Motor Company. Secondly, it is about Ford Motor Company’s organization structure and ERP Implementation condition. Then, its purchasing and inventory management will be discussed. After that, it is related to its manufacturing planning and execution. Subsequently, it will discuss its human resources and assets management. Finally, it will put forward a short conclusion.

Business process management plays very important role in enterprise’s development. The mission of process management is to improve control degree through delicacy management, enhance work efficiency by process optimization, make implicit knowledge dominant by virtue of system or rules, and achieve reasonable allocation of resource and managed copy. Ford Motor Company is the largest manufacturer of truck and is also the second largest automobile manufacturer. Ford Motor Company’s business model centers on providing good quality product and service for customers and satisfying customers’ diversified demands. The industry Ford Motor Company operates in is the knowledge intensity. The purchasing accounts payable of Ford established in Northern America owed more than 500 employees; as a result, the excessive amount of employees decreased working efficiency. Therefore, the company decided to conduct revolution by application of information technology, so as to improve efficiency. Under the matrix organization structure, it can help Ford better flexibly allocate human resource and equipment resources among different product and service, which makes Ford adapt to the constantly changing external demands. 
According to the thought and method of EPR, Ford finishes the restructuring of its accounts payable department, and achieves the purpose of reducing employees and improving accuracy, through analysis to existing business process, design of new business process, design of accounts payable information system supporting business process restructuring, and implementation of new business process.
