In translating some home-culture related texts, the intertextual characteristics in thesource texts should be maintained to the maximum extent. The weak intertextuality in thesource text could be dealt with by adopting different translation techniques flexibly accordingto the specific context, so as to convey the meaning vividly and smoothly. As for thetranslation of the strong intertextuality, all the intertextual clues should be made good use of,so as to trace back to the mother-intertextual classics. In the case of translating the source text,this would mean whether the version could help uphold the status of China as the birthplaceof tea culture and a positive cultural advancement.
