In the recent issue of New York Times，there was a news headlined as Dead tell a tale China doesn't care to listen to, which expressed suspicion about China’s sovereignty right toward Xinjiang Autonomous Region. The main point of this news, is that by means of excavation of Loulan Beauty whose appearance is more like western people than Chinese, as well as survival period of Loulan Beauty is as early as 3800 years before, which is far more earlier than arrival of Zhang Qian as an envoy of Han dynasty toward this western region of China according to official declaration, it is inferred that this region is not China’s traditional territory. Two points, the arrival time and appearance of Loulan Beauty, supported the demonstration of news. In fact, in terms of sovereignty of Chinese territory, especially in frontier regions, medias of western countries have been holding consistent stereotyping, and this news is no exception. In this kind of stereotyping, it shows tendency of imperialism and nationalism. It is constructed and established by surrounding the term “nation”. And then, through stressing on different properties of nations, it will make conclusions like news mentioned above.
