The Social and Cultural Impacts of New Communication Technologies
1.0 Introduction
With the continued development of information and multi-media technologies, the mode and character of mutual communication has been experiencing fundamentally change. Many kinds of old communication tools has been promoted to a new stage and new kinds of communication patterns as new communication technologies appeared, especiallyits fusion of multi-media and other technologies.
As we known, our communication is quick, effective and without any area limit and it will continued to be well developed in the future since the communication technologies are updated every day. With information easily transmitted to desired population in the world, our social and culture life will be largely influenced with no doubt. These new technologies can bring large benefit and improve our life to a higher degree, as Smartphone and video dialogue for example.However,they also result in some bad phenomenon which we can feel by ourselves, especially the Less of and cold interpersonal relationship.
The essay mainly studies the impact of new communication technologies on society including the good as well as bad aspects. Firstly, it gives a brief introduction of the new communication technologies and their appearing forms, and then discusses their possible developing trend and orientation. In the following part, this essay studies the influence from two views of society and culture which can help people to clearly know the potential character of the new technologies and think over while taking use of them.
