In this article, we will list a series of options to increase capacity and profitability, and improve performance of the train service between London and Manchester (350km). Currently, the train service displays several complications that deeply cause the immense disappointment from the Department for transport (DfT). Hereby, we are providing novel options to the board of directors that could meet the requirements; hopefully, we can be awarded the franchise. Moreover, the cash flow model over the duration of the franchise is also displayed in this article.

The current complications mainly include the following aspects: the poor condition of the track, train and the signaling system, the lack of rolling stock and labor services issues. Therefore, 20% of the train services are cancelled or delayed.
