本研究目的目标是探讨中国大学图书馆IVLE的现状和问题,为今后推出IVLE的发展提供依据。
方法的研究利用定量研究方法,通过调查问卷调查中国清华大学,复旦大学和上海交通大学的260名大学生,了解他们对IVLE的看法和建议。
Background In recent years, the importance of IVLE has been recognized by Chinese universities, but the development and researches of IVLE in Chinese university libraries currently is still in the early stage, for administrators and teachers of Chinese universities, increasing the development and construction of IVLE has important practical significance.
Aims The research aim of this study is to discuss the status and problems of IVLE in Chinese university libraries to bring forward recommendations on the development of IVLE in future.
Methods This study made use of a quantitative research method, through questionnaires to investigate 260 college students from Chinese Tsinghua University, Fudan University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University to understand their views and suggestions on IVLE.
Results The findings of this study showed the benefits of using IVLE. It helps to improve students’ learning efficiency; it improves the quality of learning resources to meet the students' various learning needs; it improves students' enthusiasm and initiative in learning. The findings of this study also revealed the following problems: China's IVLE at present still needs to be improved in terms of quantity and quality of information and resources, there is a big problem in system integration and user needs. And the survey results also stated that in future, in the process of optimization of IVLE, it should first of all solve the problem of information, then it should go to solve the problems in systems integration, followed by the problem of individual demand.
Conclusions Students have a relatively positive cognition for IVLE, they indeed benefited from the process of using IVLE, but it was worth noting that there was a relatively low frequency in using IVLE, indicating that IVLE itself may have some problems, which led to the relatively low frequency of using it. In future, it is necessary for universities in China to take certain measures to optimize IVLE.
