Research on Best Choice of China’s E-business Enterprises on SRM Software 

Abstract摘要


在中国电子商务企业在最近几年取得了很大的进步;然而,SRM(存储资源管理)是企业电子商务的核心是不良条件。最近的一项研究结果显示,71.25%的中国电子商务企业使用多厂商的存储设备,42.5%的用户都没有专业的SRM SRM工程师处理SRM。大多数用户认为有巨大的挑战:资源利用SRM的用户关心的57.5%,72.5%的用户关注的存储性能,对用户关注的失败68.75%(异常处理)管理SRM,33.75%的用户关心的开关磁阻电机/报警事件,用户的28.75%是在用户的SRM和30%关注战略储备管理强调异构基础设施环境或多厂商产品兼容性。
E-business enterprises in China have made great progress in recent years; however, the SRM (Storage Resource Management) which is the core of e-business enterprises is in undesirable conditions. A recent research results shows that 71.25% of the China’s e-business enterprises use storage appliance of multi- vendor, 42.5% of SRM users have no professional SRM engineers to deal with the SRM. Most of the users consider that there are great challenges in SRM: 57.5% of the users care about resource utilization, 72.5% of the users pay attention to the storage performance,  68.75% of the users concern the failure (exception handles) management in SRM, 33.75% of the users care about the Event/ Alarm in SRM, 28.75% of the users are concerned about strategic storage  management in SRM and 30% of the users put emphasis on the heterogeneous infrastructure environment or compatibility of multi-vendor products.

The above data shows that most of enterprises put more emphasis on storage appliance investment than on the management of storage appliance and system.  The unbalance brings the continuous growth in the purchase of storage appliance with the increase of internal enterprise information. Year after year, it is hard for the enterprises to bear the climbing cost. Therefore, it is a must for enterprises to choice the best mode. With the aid of scientific SRM, the distributed storage resource can make its value maximization and operation efficiency optimality.  
以上数据表明,大多数企业对存储设备投资的重视程度高于对存储设备和系统的管理。随着企业内部信息的增加,存储设备的不平衡带来了购买设备的不断增长。年复一年,企业难以承受爬坡成本。因此,企业必须选择最佳模式。借助于科学SRM,分布式存储资源可以使其价值最大化和运行效率最优化。
In a result, to choice the most suitable SRM (that is storage resource management) software is the core task of e-business enterprises. It is the best method to list every requirements of e-business enterprise on SRM in the first step, then to evaluate them respectively so as to nail down the best sequence of the requirements. The author suggests that the evaluation standard should be subjected to the combined demand (current and future demand) for information data storage of the enterprise. In addition to it, the author suggests that enterprises integrate SRM with linked storage structure based on current network stack. For instance, the network stack which supported by application, Logical Volume Management, file system, host information. 因此,选择最合适的SRM(即存储资源管理)软件是电子商务企业的核心任务。在第一步中,将电子商务企业的各项需求列为最好的方法,然后分别对其进行评价,以确定需求的最佳顺序。提出了企业信息数据存储的评价标准应遵循当前需求和未来需求相结合的原则。在此基础上,提出了基于当前网络栈的企业集成SRM与链式存储结构的集成方案。例如,应用程序支持的网络堆栈、逻辑卷管理、文件系统、主机信息。
The author also hopes to give suggestions to China’s E-business enterprise on SRM software choice. In the thesis, first of all, the author gives detailed introduction to the conditions of SRM software, main functions, advantages and disadvantages, then gives profound analysis on several popular SRM softwares and SRM cases study, followed the analysis on the price of SRM softwares for e-business enterprises, and gives the cost comparison analysis after the use of SMR.
