Generally, the multimodality of the teaching method is morebeneficial than the traditional teaching method in English vocabulary, which canarouse the students’ interest, attract students’ attention greatly, help the students knowmore about what they have learned fully and comprehend the meaning of theknowledge and learn how to put words into practice and get the skills of the memory.According to questionnaire data, participants had different attitudes towards the twoteaching ways. Most of the students like multimodality better.

On the one hand, students’ English vocabulary proficiency has been improved.The different score levels of pre-test and post-test presents obviously thatmultimodality can help most students do better in their texts . Further more, studentshave made some progress in utilization of English vocabulary and practical ability.What’s more, teachers introduced clearly cultural background and taught students alittle difficult words of the text in the courseware of multimodality. In addition, basedon the results of questionnaires, students claimed that multimodality can expand their 

And according to the collection results of interview, the multimodality canimprove students’ ability in listening. As to vocabulary, multimodality can helpavailably students learn and use the words well, master more new knowledge andreview what they have learnt. Multimodality also creats some actual and real andlanguage context, which can let students learn how to use the words correctly, how tomaster the meaning of words and how to put them into appropriate situations.Moreover, in order to facilitate students learning more new words for a long time andimprove students’ learning English ability, multimodality presents various activitiesand opportunities for students to have a good performance in English class.
