The exploration of Design and Application of Teaching Aids in Primary School English-Teaching in View of  Distributed Cognitive Theory

摘要

在教育日益趋向信息化的今天,各个学科的教学工作者和研究人员试着将先进的信息技术和信息工具应用到教学中,优化教学过程,提高教学效率。英语作为一门语言类学科,需要为学生创设相应的语言学习环境,让学生在交流应用的过程中进行学习。因此,有效地利用信息技术和信息工具辅助英语教学,为英语学习者创造环境、开发学习资源,让学生在丰富、逼真的环境下轻松、快乐地学习英语仍是目前研究者关注的热点。教具以其趣味性、直观性为学生创设了形象逼真的英语学习环境,让学生在轻松、愉快中学习地道的英语。英语教学可以借助教具,让学生在标准的英语环境下进行参与式学习,激发学生的兴趣,培养学生学习英语的积极性和自信心。
本研究通过分析我国目前英语教学中存在的问题,在此基础上寻求解决问题的方法,即利用教具来进行英语教学。通过实地访谈老师和学生,了解教具在英语单词、句型、口语交际等教学环节的应用现状,并总结出教具在英语教学过程中的积极性作用,探索在小学英语课堂如何设计和应用教具,利用教具的功能优化课堂教学过程,提高教学效率。

I. Introduction


Nowadays, the information technology gradually seeped to each domain particularly, it has great influence on teaching fields. Information technology promotes the educational ideas, teaching methods and teaching aids changed a lot in every country all around the world, makes the education walk to a new stage--informationized education. At present, informationized education plays an important role in china. On July 7 in 2010, the National Mid and Long-term Reform Development Plan (2010-2020) deliberated and approved by State Council had general released. The outline of Chapter XIX pointed out that educators should pay more attention to information technology to accelerate the teaching process. Because it has revolutionary impact on the development of education. Educators should make full use of quality resources and advanced technologies to innovate operating mechanism and management model, integrate the existing resources and build the advanced, efficient and practical digital education equipment.
Language is the important thinking and communication tool for human beings. It is also the important condition for human beings to take part in social activity. It is meaningful to promote the comprehensive development of man. With the coming of information age, grasping a foreign language has become one of essential quality for man in the world. Therefore, it is important to learn and grasp a foreign language, especially the English. Relevant United Nations documents presented that the mother tongue, a foreign language and the computer skills are the basic skill for man in 21 century.Thanks to the historic reasons and the usage of internet, English becomes a working language in many international situation.At the same time, English is also the main language in international internet. Therefore, on the occasion of the coming of  knowledge economy(知识经济), educators need to strengthen and reform English teaching.
According to the National Mid and Long-term Reform Development Plan (2010-2020), in the next ten years, information technology plays an important role in the development of teaching. Educators must pay more attention to information technology.It is a hot topic to make full us of information technology and tools in teaching process,and create a vivid English learning environment for students.So the application of teaching aids becomes a subject of research in English teaching.
English learning is not only a knowledge , but also a kind of ability and skills. The New Curriculum Standards in English points out that the task of elementary education stage are as following. Firstly, promoting the learning interests of students makes it possible to build students’ confidence,form a good learning customer,and develop the ability of self-directed learning. Secondly,fostering the ability of observation,memory,thinking and imagination,and creating spirits could help students to learn about the world and the differences between China and Western countries,widen their horizons and lay a foundation for their life time study.
