Abstract
At present, owing to the rapid development of science and new technology, information systems have made a greater progress than before, which makes intercultural communication easier. Moreover owing to the explosion of the world's population and the need of economic globalization, intercultural communication is more and more common. Therefore, the study to intercommunication is very necessary. Confucianism is the symbol of eastern culture. Its influence on people's ideology can't be overestimated even worldwide. Nowadays, in all over the world, especially, in southeast-Asia a lot of scholars are studying Confucianism with great enthusiasm. It is believed that Confucianism is a dose of effective medicine to cure the western social problems that have caused by machine civilization. Owing to the fact that Confucianism involves nearly every field in our live, the dissertation attempts to have an insight of Confucianism's impact on collaboration between Chinese and North Americans in intercultural communication in the light of its influence on values.
