Abstract
This paper has studied on intellectual property rights in costume designing industry, separately from the aspects as follows. Firstly, made brief definition of intellectual property, and then introduce main types and characteristics of intellectual property, involved with applicability, strengths and weaknesses of it. Secondly, explain why IPR used in order to protect a design, item or image in costume design industry especially in my point of view based on my own experience. Then, this paper put forward three main aspects of this intellectual property protection. In the end, paper discussed several aspects to advise law protection of intellectual property associated with costume design.
