ion construction of Intercity Railway in Ezhou City and the government relocation of this city, the main city is gradually changing from group development with single center Lake to multi centers group development. At present, the city is in the ring Yang Lake region as the main center of the downtown area and the new West District and the new district of the Ezhou City are the wings[5]. However, the existing transportation system has been unable to meet the development of urban planning. To improve the current traffic situation, improve the existing city transport, the construction of Wu and Chu avenue should be without delayed.
The development axis of the Wu and Chu avenue is basically the same with the planned develping avenue and the high-tech road. The west of this new avenue is the Wuhan high tech venture. The east of this new avenue is the Yangtze River edge. The south of this avenue is near the Fan Chuan avenue on the Economic Development Zone of the Ezhou City.
2.1.1 Iandform
The Wu Chu Avenue Project is located in the South Bank of the Yangtze River and there are lots of villages, farmlands, fish ponds and lakes along some sections of the project status. The site topography is generally flat and the exploration hole point elevation is changing in between 13.18 m and 22.90 m. From the view of regional geomorphology, the site landform belongs to the denudated plain landform. The surface water is mainly lakes and ponds.
2.1.2 Climatic conditions
The climatic conditions along the project area which is located in the middle latitudes are belong to the subtropical monsoon climate zone. The characters of the monsoon climate are hot summer and cold winter, four seasons, abundant rainfall, adequate light, long frost free period, short time of the winter vacation. The average annual temperature of 17 degrees which is the highest value in the east of the Ezhou City. The temperature of the earth surface changes with climatic conditions, the lowest of the temperature of the earth surface is monthly in January, the highest monthly is in August. The monthly change is with temperature[6]. There is almost no change of the average annual temperature in the depth of the earth. The average annual rainfall is 1282.8 mm and the annual changing is much large. The dominant wind direction in the winter and autumn is the northerly winds and in the spring and summer is the easterly winds. The annual average sunshine time is 2003.7 hours and the average is 5.5 hours each day. The frost free period is much long[7]. The annual average temperature of 18 degrees aroud. The coldest month is existing in January and the average temperature is aroud 5 degree. The hottest month is in July and the average temperature is aroud 29 degree. The annual frost free period is about 300 days and the annual average sunshine hours are more than 1500 hours. The local area can be construction all-aroud the year, but winter is not conducive to the construction of the road.
