中美文化差异在新闻报道中的体现Sino-US Cultural Differences Reflected in the News Report
Abstract
Culture is the soul of a nation, and it has a deep influence on people. Owing to different country has different culture, this kind of differences are reflected in every aspects of people's social life and news report has no exception to it. As a medium of transmitting information, News reporter plays a great role in people's daily life. The thesis studies the Sino-US cultural differences from the point of news report. Firstly, the thesis gives a brief introduction of literature review about the study. Secondly, the thesis introduces the traits of Chinese and American culture. Thirdly, the thesis expounds the influences of culture on news report from the aspects of concepts, angle and standpoint, writing method and expression. Fourthly, the thesis studies the differences of news report of China and America in news selection, positive news and negative news, government and society described and appraisal system. Finally, the thesis draws a conclusion about the study.

摘要
文化是民族的灵魂，它对人们有着深远的影响。由于不同的国家有不同的文化特征，这种差异体现在社会生活的各个方面，新闻报道也不例外。作为传递信息的一种媒介，新闻报道在人们的生活中起着重要的作用。本文主要从新闻报道的角度来研究中美的文化差异。首先，本文对有关新闻报道的研究进行了文献综述；其次，介绍了中国和美国这两个国家文化的特点；再次，阐述了中美文化差异对新闻观念、新闻的角度和立场、新闻的写作方法和表达方式造成的影响；然后，研究了中美文化差异在新闻报道的选材、正面新闻和负面新闻的报道、对政府和社会的描述以及评价体系等方面存在的不同；最后，对本文的研究进行了总结。

Introduction
Currently, news report becomes an essential part in people's life. People can know what happened in all over the world by reading it without moving their feet. However, news report is unavoidably influenced by culture. Due to the culture of China and America are different, news reports in the two countries have some differences. Generally, news report are objective and independent, there are not personal attitudes and stances in them. In this way, news report gains broad public acceptance and manipulate the thoughts of readers. Many scholars have studied the influences of culture on news report from respective perspectives. Actually, culture can influence news report in many aspects such as concepts, angle and standpoint, writing method and expression. By studying the news report of China and America carefully, it is obvious that their differences are reflected in news selection, positive news and negative news, government and society described and appraisal system.
Conclusion
News report is derived from the facts of people’s actual life. It covers many aspects of the society such as economy, politics, and culture.
